ServiceNow use case

ServiceNow SLA reporting in your own words

Ask ServiceNow task SLA questions in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot: breaches by assignment group, priority and service, under each person’s ServiceNow access.

Short answer

ServiceNow SLA reporting with Nexatron means asking task SLA questions in your own words, from the Nexatron app or from Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot: breaches by assignment group, priority and business service, against one agreed definition. ServiceNow is available, and calls run as each signed-in ServiceNow user.

Example questions

  • Which assignment groups breached the most resolution task SLAs on P1 and P2 incidents last month?
  • What share of response SLAs breached this quarter, by business service?
  • Which open incidents have used more than 80% of their SLA’s business elapsed time?
  • How did resolution SLA breaches by priority compare with the previous quarter?
  • Which business services had the most incidents with a reassignment count of three or more?

Agree these definitions first

What counts as a breach
The has breached flag on task_sla records, for which SLA definitions and stages.
Which clock
Business elapsed time or actual elapsed time, as the SLA definition sets it.
What is counted
Incidents or SLA records: one incident can carry several SLAs, which is a common reason two reports disagree.
Which priority
The priority when the SLA started or the priority at close.

How it works

  1. 1. Connect ServiceNow

An administrator connects ServiceNow to your Nexatron workspace through the Table API and Aggregate API, authorized with the OAuth 2.0 authorization code flow through an application registry entry on your instance.

  2. 2. Each person’s own access

Calls run as each signed-in ServiceNow user, so access control lists on tables and fields, roles, before-query business rules and domain separation decide which incidents and SLA records an answer includes.

  3. 3. Agree the definitions

The service owner approves the definitions above once, so a breach count means the same thing for every person who asks.

  4. 4. Ask where your team works

People ask in the Nexatron app or through Nexatron’s hosted MCP server in Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. Each answer shows the definition, source and query it used.
