Nexatron for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
Ask business questions from the assistant your team already uses. Nexatron's hosted MCP server answers from your connected systems, under the asking person's own permissions, and shows the definition, source and query behind every number.
Works where your team already asks
Claude
Nexatron is listed in Claude's connector directory: add it from there, then sign in with your own Nexatron identity. You can also add the server URL as a custom connector.
Claude connection guideChatGPT
Where your ChatGPT workspace allows custom MCP connectors, add the same server URL and sign in with your Nexatron identity.
Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams
Install Nexatron as a declarative agent that calls the MCP server directly, or add it as a tool in Copilot Studio with OAuth dynamic discovery.
Server URL: https://api.nexatron.io/api/v1/mcp (streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 sign-in with PKCE).
What stays governed
- Your permissions, not the assistant's. Each person signs in as themselves, so an assistant sees only what that person may see.
- Your definitions. “Revenue” means your approved definition, the same in Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Teams, Slack and the Nexatron app.
- Every answer explained. The definition, source and query come back with the number, so anyone can check it.
- Actions are separate. Asking never changes data. Action tools preview first, need explicit confirmation, and can be switched off.
Tools the server exposes
Questions and definitions
Read-only. These never change data in any connected system.
- list_sources
- See which connected sources you are allowed to ask about.
- list_metrics
- Browse the approved metric definitions for your workspace.
- explain_metric
- Read how an approved metric is defined: formula, filters and source.
- audit
- Review the trail of past questions and the evidence behind their answers.
- ask
- Ask a business question in your own words and get a governed, explained answer.
- query_metric
- Get an approved metric for a period, broken down by the dimensions you choose.
- compare_metric_across_sources
- Run several approved metrics in one call and get each result, with its source, side by side.
Actions (optional)
These can change data in systems that support actions. Each is previewed, confirmed by a permitted person, and can be switched off by your administrator.
- list_actions
- See which business-system actions your workspace has enabled.
- execute_action
- Run a previewed action after explicit confirmation by a permitted person.
- dry_run
- Preview exactly what an action would change, without changing anything.
MCP server FAQ
- What is the Nexatron MCP server?
- A hosted Model Context Protocol server at https://api.nexatron.io/api/v1/mcp. AI assistants that support remote MCP connectors call it to ask governed business questions of the systems your company has connected to Nexatron.
- Whose permissions does an assistant use?
- The asking person's. Each person signs in with their own Nexatron identity through OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, so the assistant sees only what that person may see in Nexatron and, for per-user connectors, in the source system itself.
- Can an assistant change data in our systems?
- Questions never change data. A separate set of action tools can, for connectors that support actions: each action is previewed first, needs explicit confirmation by a permitted person, and your administrator can switch the action tools off for the workspace.
- Which systems can I ask about from Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot?
- Any source your workspace has connected: warehouses such as Snowflake and Databricks, and business apps such as Salesforce, NetSuite and ServiceNow. See the connector catalog for each system's status.
- Do we need a Nexatron workspace first?
- Yes. The MCP server answers from a Nexatron workspace with at least one connected source, and a workspace administrator approves Nexatron for the workspace.
