NetSuite use case
NetSuite month-end close questions in your own words
Ask NetSuite month-end close questions in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot: open periods, late postings, pending bills and receivables, under your NetSuite role.
Short answer
NetSuite month-end close reporting with Nexatron means asking close questions in your own words, from the Nexatron app or from Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot: which periods are still open, what posted after the close date, which bills await approval and where receivables stand. NetSuite is available, and each person signs in with their own NetSuite role.
Example questions
- Which accounting periods are still open for any subsidiary, and what posted to them after the planned close date?
- Which vendor bills are pending approval, and what is their total by approver?
- What is open AR by aging bucket for each subsidiary, in the subsidiary’s base currency?
- Which credit memos over 5,000 were applied this month, and to which invoices?
- What is consolidated operating expense by department for the year to date at consolidated rates?
Agree these definitions first
- Close date
- The planned close date for each subsidiary’s posting period.
- Period
- Posting period or transaction date: they can select different transactions.
- Currency
- Each subsidiary’s base currency, or consolidated exchange rates for a group total.
- Review threshold
- The amount above which a late posting needs a reviewer’s attention.
How it works
1. Connect NetSuite
An administrator connects NetSuite to your Nexatron workspace through NetSuite REST web services, including the SuiteQL query endpoint, with OAuth 2.0 or token-based authentication. Every token is tied to a NetSuite user and role.
2. Each person’s own role
Each person signs in with their own NetSuite login and choose a role. That role’s permissions and its subsidiary, department, class or location restrictions decide which transactions every answer is computed from.
3. Agree the definitions
The controller approves the definitions above once, so a late posting means the same thing in every answer.
4. Ask where your team works
People ask in the Nexatron app or through Nexatron’s hosted MCP server in Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. Each answer shows the definition, source and query it used.
