Coupa use case
Coupa spend analytics in your own words
Ask Coupa spend questions in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot: contract coverage, invoice holds, requisition-to-PO time and supplier risk, with the source shown.
Short answer
Coupa analytics with Nexatron means asking spend questions in your own words, from the Nexatron app or from Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot: contract coverage, invoice holds, requisition-to-PO time and supplier risk. Coupa is available: Nexatron connects through the Coupa Core API with one shared client and read scopes.
Example questions
- What share of last quarter’s spend was on purchase orders backed by a contract?
- How many invoices are on hold for price or quantity tolerance, and for which suppliers?
- What is the median time from requisition submit to PO issue for IT hardware this year?
- Which contracts have consumed more than 80% of their maximum value?
- How much did we spend with suppliers whose risk status is high in the last six months?
Agree these definitions first
- Contract-backed
- A purchase order that references a contract, and whether the contract must be active on the order date.
- Spend measure
- Ordered, received or invoiced amount, and the currency it is reported in.
- Cycle time
- Which two events bound it, such as requisition submit and PO issue, and whether it counts business days.
- Supplier risk
- Which supplier information management field holds risk, and as of which date.
How it works
1. Connect Coupa
An administrator connects Coupa to your Nexatron workspace through the Coupa Core API (REST), with an OAuth 2.0 client-credentials client and read scopes such as core.invoice.read, core.purchase_order.read and core.requisition.read.
2. Set who can use the connection
Your administrator sets up one shared client with read scopes. Everyone enabled on the connection reads the same Coupa data, and access rules set in Nexatron decide who can use it.
3. Agree the definitions
Procurement approves the definitions above once, so contract coverage and cycle time mean the same thing in every answer.
4. Ask where your team works
People ask in the Nexatron app or through Nexatron’s hosted MCP server in Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. Each answer shows the definition, source and query it used, and say it came from a shared Coupa connection.
Try it on your own Coupa data
