Freshservice MCP server: ask questions, get governed answers

Freshservice is an IT service management tool; it holds incidents, service requests, changes, assets and SLA records for IT teams.

Try it on your own data in a pilot.

Freshservice AI analytics: what you can ask

Typical questions from IT service desk teams. Each answer shows the definition, source and query behind it.

  • How many incidents are open by priority and assignment group?
  • Which incidents breached their resolution SLA last month?
  • What is the average time to resolve incidents by category this quarter?
  • Show service requests opened versus closed per week for the last 8 weeks.
  • Which change requests are scheduled for next week, by risk level?
  • How many assets are past their warranty date, by asset type?

How Nexatron connects to Freshservice

Whose permissions
Each person can connect their own Freshservice account, so answers return only the records that person can already see in Freshservice. An administrator can instead use one shared connection for the workspace.
Read and write
Questions are read-only. A small set of Freshservice actions also exists; each one is previewed first, runs only after explicit confirmation by a permitted person, and can be switched off by your administrator.
Setup
An administrator connects a service credential (API token or service-account key) issued by the vendor. Steps: choose the source → check prerequisites → enter connection details → verify → ask. No data migration and no pipeline to build: data is queried where it lives.

Freshservice MCP connector for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Nexatron's hosted MCP server is a governed Freshservice MCP connector: Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot ask questions of your Freshservice data through it. Each person signs in as themselves, so the assistant sees only what they may see.

Connect Freshservice to Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot

  1. Connect Freshservice to your Nexatron workspace.
  2. In Claude, add Nexatron from Claude's connector directory. In ChatGPT or Copilot, add a custom MCP connector with the server URL https://api.nexatron.io/api/v1/mcp.
  3. Sign in with your own Nexatron identity (OAuth 2.1), then ask your Freshservice questions.

Freshservice connector FAQ

Can I ask Freshservice questions without writing queries?
Yes. The connector is available now. Ask in Teams, Slack, the Nexatron web app, or an AI assistant connected through Nexatron's MCP server.
Does Nexatron respect Freshservice permissions?
Yes. With a personal connection, answers return only the Freshservice records that person can already see.
Can Nexatron change data in Freshservice?
Only through optional actions that a permitted person previews and confirms. Asking a question never changes Freshservice data.
What do I need to connect Freshservice?
A vendor-issued service credential and an administrator to connect it.
Is there a Freshservice MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot?
Yes: Nexatron's hosted MCP server, once Freshservice is connected to your workspace. It is Nexatron's server, not one published by Freshservice, and the assistant gets the same governed answer as the Nexatron app.

A pilot starts with three questions your team already asks and the report you trust for each, so you can check the answers yourself.
