Airtable MCP server: ask questions, get governed answers

A cloud database and spreadsheet hybrid where teams build custom apps from bases of tables, records, fields and views.

Try it on your own data in a pilot.

Airtable AI analytics: what you can ask

Typical questions from operations and project management. Each answer shows the definition, source and query behind it.

  • How many records were added to each table per month this year?
  • Which records have a status of Blocked for more than 14 days?
  • List records with an empty owner field in the main tracker table
  • Break down records by status in the projects base
  • Compare record counts by category across the last two quarters

How Nexatron connects to Airtable

Whose permissions
Your administrator approves the access the Airtable connection uses. Where Airtable supports per-user sign-in, answers run under each person's own access, and Nexatron roles decide who in your company can ask.
Read and write
Questions are read-only: asking never changes Airtable data.
Setup
Our team sets up the Airtable connection with your administrator during the pilot. No data migration and no pipeline to build: data is queried where it lives.

Airtable MCP connector for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Nexatron's hosted MCP server is a governed Airtable MCP connector: Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot ask questions of your Airtable data through it. Each person signs in as themselves, so the assistant sees only what they may see.

Connect Airtable to Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot

  1. Connect Airtable to your Nexatron workspace.
  2. In Claude, add Nexatron from Claude's connector directory. In ChatGPT or Copilot, add a custom MCP connector with the server URL https://api.nexatron.io/api/v1/mcp.
  3. Sign in with your own Nexatron identity (OAuth 2.1), then ask your Airtable questions.

Airtable connector FAQ

Can I ask Airtable questions without writing queries?
Yes. Ask in Teams, Slack, the Nexatron web app, or an AI assistant connected through Nexatron's MCP server.
Does Nexatron respect Airtable permissions?
Yes. Where Airtable supports per-user sign-in, answers run under each person's own access.
Can Nexatron change data in Airtable?
No. Asking a question never changes Airtable data.
What do I need to connect Airtable?
An administrator who can approve the connection. Our team sets it up with them during the pilot.
Is there a Airtable MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot?
Yes: Nexatron's hosted MCP server, once Airtable is connected to your workspace. It is Nexatron's server, not one published by Airtable, and the assistant gets the same governed answer as the Nexatron app.

Try Nexatron on your own Airtable data

A pilot starts with three questions your team already asks and the report you trust for each, so you can check the answers yourself.

Airtable is a trademark of its owner. Nexatron is not affiliated with or endorsed by it; the name and mark identify the system Nexatron connects to.
