New Relic MCP server: ask questions, get governed answers

New Relic is an observability platform that holds application performance, infrastructure, logs and browser monitoring data.

Try it on your own data in a pilot.

New Relic AI analytics: what you can ask

Typical questions from engineering and SRE. Each answer shows the definition, source and query behind it.

  • Which applications have the slowest average response time this week?
  • Show error rate by service over the last 14 days.
  • How many alert incidents opened per week this quarter?
  • Compare Apdex scores across our main applications.
  • List the top 10 transactions by throughput yesterday.

How Nexatron connects to New Relic

Whose permissions
Your administrator approves the access the New Relic connection uses. Where New Relic supports per-user sign-in, answers run under each person's own access, and Nexatron roles decide who in your company can ask.
Read and write
Questions are read-only: asking never changes New Relic data.
Setup
Our team sets up the New Relic connection with your administrator during the pilot. No data migration and no pipeline to build: data is queried where it lives.

New Relic MCP connector for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Nexatron's hosted MCP server is a governed New Relic MCP connector: Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot ask questions of your New Relic data through it. Each person signs in as themselves, so the assistant sees only what they may see.

Connect New Relic to Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot

  1. Connect New Relic to your Nexatron workspace.
  2. In Claude, add Nexatron from Claude's connector directory. In ChatGPT or Copilot, add a custom MCP connector with the server URL https://api.nexatron.io/api/v1/mcp.
  3. Sign in with your own Nexatron identity (OAuth 2.1), then ask your New Relic questions.

New Relic connector FAQ

Can I ask New Relic questions without writing queries?
Yes. Ask in Teams, Slack, the Nexatron web app, or an AI assistant connected through Nexatron's MCP server.
Does Nexatron respect New Relic permissions?
Yes. Where New Relic supports per-user sign-in, answers run under each person's own access.
Can Nexatron change data in New Relic?
No. Asking a question never changes New Relic data.
What do I need to connect New Relic?
An administrator who can approve the connection. Our team sets it up with them during the pilot.
Is there a New Relic MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot?
Yes: Nexatron's hosted MCP server, once New Relic is connected to your workspace. It is Nexatron's server, not one published by New Relic, and the assistant gets the same governed answer as the Nexatron app.

Try Nexatron on your own New Relic data

A pilot starts with three questions your team already asks and the report you trust for each, so you can check the answers yourself.

New Relic is a trademark of its owner. Nexatron is not affiliated with or endorsed by it; the name and mark identify the system Nexatron connects to.
