Elasticsearch / OpenSearch MCP server: ask questions, get governed answers

Elasticsearch and OpenSearch are search and analytics engines that index documents, logs and metrics so they can be searched and aggregated quickly.

Try it on your own data in a pilot.

Elasticsearch / OpenSearch AI analytics: what you can ask

Typical questions from IT ops and engineering. Each answer shows the definition, source and query behind it.

  • How many error log entries did we get per hour over the last 24 hours?
  • Which 10 services produced the most warnings this week?
  • Compare search query volume this week with last week
  • List the most frequent search terms that returned zero results last month
  • Break down log events by severity and application for today

How Nexatron connects to Elasticsearch / OpenSearch

Whose permissions
Your administrator approves the access the Elasticsearch / OpenSearch connection uses. Where Elasticsearch / OpenSearch supports per-user sign-in, answers run under each person's own access, and Nexatron roles decide who in your company can ask.
Read and write
Questions are read-only: asking never changes Elasticsearch / OpenSearch data.
Setup
Our team sets up the Elasticsearch / OpenSearch connection with your administrator during the pilot. No data migration and no pipeline to build: data is queried where it lives.

Elasticsearch / OpenSearch MCP connector for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Nexatron's hosted MCP server is a governed Elasticsearch / OpenSearch MCP connector: Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot ask questions of your Elasticsearch / OpenSearch data through it. Each person signs in as themselves, so the assistant sees only what they may see.

Connect Elasticsearch / OpenSearch to Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot

  1. Connect Elasticsearch / OpenSearch to your Nexatron workspace.
  2. In Claude, add Nexatron from Claude's connector directory. In ChatGPT or Copilot, add a custom MCP connector with the server URL https://api.nexatron.io/api/v1/mcp.
  3. Sign in with your own Nexatron identity (OAuth 2.1), then ask your Elasticsearch / OpenSearch questions.

Elasticsearch / OpenSearch connector FAQ

Can I ask Elasticsearch / OpenSearch questions without writing queries?
Yes. Ask in Teams, Slack, the Nexatron web app, or an AI assistant connected through Nexatron's MCP server.
Does Nexatron respect Elasticsearch / OpenSearch permissions?
Yes. Where Elasticsearch / OpenSearch supports per-user sign-in, answers run under each person's own access.
Can Nexatron change data in Elasticsearch / OpenSearch?
No. Asking a question never changes Elasticsearch / OpenSearch data.
What do I need to connect Elasticsearch / OpenSearch?
An administrator who can approve the connection. Our team sets it up with them during the pilot.
Is there a Elasticsearch / OpenSearch MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot?
Yes: Nexatron's hosted MCP server, once Elasticsearch / OpenSearch is connected to your workspace. It is Nexatron's server, not one published by Elasticsearch / OpenSearch, and the assistant gets the same governed answer as the Nexatron app.

Try Nexatron on your own Elasticsearch / OpenSearch data

A pilot starts with three questions your team already asks and the report you trust for each, so you can check the answers yourself.

Elasticsearch / OpenSearch is a trademark of its owner. Nexatron is not affiliated with or endorsed by it; the name and mark identify the system Nexatron connects to.
