Neo4j MCP server: ask questions, get governed answers

Neo4j is a graph database that stores data as nodes and relationships, used to model connected information such as supply chains, networks and entity relationships.

Try it on your own data in a pilot.

Neo4j dashboard questions you can ask

Typical questions from data and risk teams. Each answer shows the definition, source and query behind it.

  • How many nodes of each type are in the graph right now?
  • Which 10 suppliers connect to the most downstream products?
  • Compare relationship counts this month with last month by type
  • List accounts that share the same address or phone number
  • Which products depend on a single supplier?

How Nexatron connects to Neo4j

Whose permissions
Your administrator approves the access the Neo4j connection uses. Where Neo4j supports per-user sign-in, answers run under each person's own access, and Nexatron roles decide who in your company can ask.
Read and write
Questions are read-only: asking never changes Neo4j data.
Setup
Our team sets up the Neo4j connection with your administrator during the pilot. No data migration and no pipeline to build: data is queried where it lives.

Neo4j MCP connector for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Nexatron's hosted MCP server is a governed Neo4j MCP connector: Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot ask questions of your Neo4j data through it. Each person signs in as themselves, so the assistant sees only what they may see.

Connect Neo4j to Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot

  1. Connect Neo4j to your Nexatron workspace.
  2. In Claude, add Nexatron from Claude's connector directory. In ChatGPT or Copilot, add a custom MCP connector with the server URL https://api.nexatron.io/api/v1/mcp.
  3. Sign in with your own Nexatron identity (OAuth 2.1), then ask your Neo4j questions.

Neo4j connector FAQ

Can I ask Neo4j questions without writing queries?
Yes. Ask in Teams, Slack, the Nexatron web app, or an AI assistant connected through Nexatron's MCP server.
Does Nexatron respect Neo4j permissions?
Yes. Where Neo4j supports per-user sign-in, answers run under each person's own access.
Can Nexatron change data in Neo4j?
No. Asking a question never changes Neo4j data.
What do I need to connect Neo4j?
An administrator who can approve the connection. Our team sets it up with them during the pilot.
Is there a Neo4j MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot?
Yes: Nexatron's hosted MCP server, once Neo4j is connected to your workspace. It is Nexatron's server, not one published by Neo4j, and the assistant gets the same governed answer as the Nexatron app.

Try Nexatron on your own Neo4j data

A pilot starts with three questions your team already asks and the report you trust for each, so you can check the answers yourself.
