Looker MCP server: ask questions, get governed answers

A business intelligence platform that defines metrics in a semantic model and holds explores, dashboards, looks and scheduled reports.

Try it on your own data in a pilot.

Looker dashboard questions you can ask

Typical questions from BI and analytics. Each answer shows the definition, source and query behind it.

  • Which dashboards have the most views this month?
  • Which scheduled reports failed in the last week?
  • How has query count trended by week over the last quarter?
  • List dashboards with no views in the last 90 days
  • Compare content usage across folders last month

How Nexatron connects to Looker

Whose permissions
Your administrator approves the access the Looker connection uses. Where Looker supports per-user sign-in, answers run under each person's own access, and Nexatron roles decide who in your company can ask.
Read and write
Questions are read-only: asking never changes Looker data.
Setup
Our team sets up the Looker connection with your administrator during the pilot. No data migration and no pipeline to build: data is queried where it lives.

Looker MCP connector for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Nexatron's hosted MCP server is a governed Looker MCP connector: Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot ask questions of your Looker data through it. Each person signs in as themselves, so the assistant sees only what they may see.

Connect Looker to Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot

  1. Connect Looker to your Nexatron workspace.
  2. In Claude, add Nexatron from Claude's connector directory. In ChatGPT or Copilot, add a custom MCP connector with the server URL https://api.nexatron.io/api/v1/mcp.
  3. Sign in with your own Nexatron identity (OAuth 2.1), then ask your Looker questions.

Looker connector FAQ

Can I ask Looker questions without writing queries?
Yes. Ask in Teams, Slack, the Nexatron web app, or an AI assistant connected through Nexatron's MCP server.
Does Nexatron respect Looker permissions?
Yes. Where Looker supports per-user sign-in, answers run under each person's own access.
Can Nexatron change data in Looker?
No. Asking a question never changes Looker data.
What do I need to connect Looker?
An administrator who can approve the connection. Our team sets it up with them during the pilot.
Is there a Looker MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot?
Yes: Nexatron's hosted MCP server, once Looker is connected to your workspace. It is Nexatron's server, not one published by Looker, and the assistant gets the same governed answer as the Nexatron app.

Try Nexatron on your own Looker data

A pilot starts with three questions your team already asks and the report you trust for each, so you can check the answers yourself.

Looker is a trademark of its owner. Nexatron is not affiliated with or endorsed by it; the name and mark identify the system Nexatron connects to.
