Solution walkthrough: from sales pipeline to cash questions

This solution walkthrough uses a hypothetical business review to show how pipeline and cash questions can be organized. It is not a customer case study and reports no measured savings or financial outcome. Actual feasibility depends on the configured sources, permissions, definitions, and available data.

A demonstration scenario, not a customer result

Imagine a finance and sales team preparing for a quarterly planning meeting. Sales wants to understand expected opportunity value. Finance wants to understand invoicing and collection. These questions are related, but their measures should remain separate. A pipeline amount is not cash, and a won opportunity is not automatically recognized revenue.

Begin with three distinct questions

The first question asks for open opportunities expected to close in the quarter, using an agreed stage and currency definition. The second asks for invoiced amounts in the relevant finance period. The third asks for remaining receivables under an approved cutoff and aging convention. Each has its own source owner and reference report.

Prepare the questions before connecting them in a conversation. Record the populations, date bases, and entity scopes. This prevents the demonstration from implying that a single generic revenue field can bridge sales and finance without mapping. The most important work is often establishing which business event each measure represents.

Validate the sources separately

Run the Salesforce question against an approved reference, then do the same for the NetSuite questions. Inspect representative examples and material caveats. A cross-source story is difficult to trust if its individual measures have not been reconciled first. Keep any unsupported historical requirement visible.

Use approved identities with the intended permissions. If the sales user and finance user have different access, the demonstration should respect those boundaries. A shared administrator account may show what is technically connected while failing to represent the workflow the business plans to deploy.

Introduce relationships carefully

If the team wants to compare customers across sources, identify the approved mapping between CRM accounts and financial entities. Report unmatched coverage rather than guessing from similar names. Decide whether the analysis uses operating accounts, billing entities, or parent groups. That choice can materially change the comparison.

Avoid presenting a causal chain that the data does not establish. Pipeline can inform planning, and receivables can inform collections, but the existence of related numbers does not prove how much cash a particular opportunity will generate or when. Use the conversation to identify the next investigation and the assumptions that would be needed for a forecast.

End with an evaluation record

A successful session produces three reconciled questions, a clear mapping boundary, and a list of unresolved issues. It may also identify a useful next pilot, such as a recurring review for one business unit. Do not convert the demonstration into a claimed customer outcome until real adoption has been measured and the customer has approved the story.

Bring this scenario to a tailored Nexatron and Claude session with your sales and finance report owners. Use sample or appropriately permissioned data and keep credentials out of the inquiry. The objective is to see whether the workflow can help people move between related business questions while preserving the definitions that make each answer meaningful.

A sample mapping exception

Include a fictional customer with one CRM parent and two billing entities. Ask whether the comparison should roll both entities into the parent or keep them separate. The answer belongs to the business definition and should be documented before presenting a combined view. This sample also creates a useful demonstration of unmatched coverage: remove one mapping and confirm that the workflow identifies the limitation instead of silently treating the remaining entity as the complete customer relationship.

Keep all amounts and names fictional in a public recording, and label the mapping example as illustrative wherever a screenshot is reused.
