Dremio MCP server: ask questions, get governed answers

Dremio is a data lakehouse platform that lets users run SQL over data lake files and other sources through a shared semantic layer of datasets and views.

Try it on your own data in a pilot.

Dremio AI analytics: what you can ask

Typical questions from data and BI teams. Each answer shows the definition, source and query behind it.

  • What was monthly revenue by business unit over the last 12 months?
  • Which 10 datasets in the sales space have the most rows?
  • Compare this quarter's order totals with last quarter by region
  • List customer segments whose order count fell over the last 3 months
  • Break down support tickets by category for last month

How Nexatron connects to Dremio

Whose permissions
Your administrator approves the access the Dremio connection uses. Where Dremio supports per-user sign-in, answers run under each person's own access, and Nexatron roles decide who in your company can ask.
Read and write
Questions are read-only: asking never changes Dremio data.
Setup
Our team sets up the Dremio connection with your administrator during the pilot. No data migration and no pipeline to build: data is queried where it lives.

Dremio MCP connector for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot

Nexatron's hosted MCP server is a governed Dremio MCP connector: Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot ask questions of your Dremio data through it. Each person signs in as themselves, so the assistant sees only what they may see.

Connect Dremio to Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot

  1. Connect Dremio to your Nexatron workspace.
  2. In Claude, add Nexatron from Claude's connector directory. In ChatGPT or Copilot, add a custom MCP connector with the server URL https://api.nexatron.io/api/v1/mcp.
  3. Sign in with your own Nexatron identity (OAuth 2.1), then ask your Dremio questions.

Dremio connector FAQ

Can I ask Dremio questions without writing queries?
Yes. Ask in Teams, Slack, the Nexatron web app, or an AI assistant connected through Nexatron's MCP server.
Does Nexatron respect Dremio permissions?
Yes. Where Dremio supports per-user sign-in, answers run under each person's own access.
Can Nexatron change data in Dremio?
No. Asking a question never changes Dremio data.
What do I need to connect Dremio?
An administrator who can approve the connection. Our team sets it up with them during the pilot.
Is there a Dremio MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot?
Yes: Nexatron's hosted MCP server, once Dremio is connected to your workspace. It is Nexatron's server, not one published by Dremio, and the assistant gets the same governed answer as the Nexatron app.

Try Nexatron on your own Dremio data

A pilot starts with three questions your team already asks and the report you trust for each, so you can check the answers yourself.
